Hi, my name is Marco Estrella
I'm a photographer and landscape designer.
A San Diego native, I consider myself an all-around creative and a full-time artist. Having moved around a lot growing up, I found a passion in photography and painting as a way to appreciate and record my ever-changing surroundings.
When I moved to Los Angeles at 15, this passion developed further into a love of space and structure, which led me to pursue a career in architectural design as a landscape architect; an idea that I developed in my teens after watching the movie “(500) Days of Summer” and subsequently reading the book “The Architecture of Happiness”.
Nowadays, my goal and hope as a designer is to heighten the connection between art, the urban landscape, architecture and the human experience. Whether it be taking photos, illustrating, developing renderings or building Lego sets, I try to always keep my hands in play. When I’m not making art, I can be found camping, cycling, rock climbing, on a walk with my dog, Lupillo or distracted looking at some cool building somewhere.
I believe that if my work can brighten a person's day, then it's work worth pursuing and that's what I strive for with my craft.
